I’m very much in a traveling mood lately. I’m actually back in London right now for fashion week and I can’t get enough of packing my suitcase for another adventure. You can follow my adventures on my blog, as always, but I’m also giving you a peek into another adventure. A trip called Station to Station. Led by curator Doug Aitken a colorful group of internationally respected artists and musicians is traveling from New York to San Francisco by train between 6 and 28 September. The trip is hosted by Levi’s and Sef (Dutch music artist) and Tess Milne (Dutch actress) are joining from the Netherlands and reporting from this great Levi’s trip. At every of the 10 stops they make, there’s a big festival taking place. A few days ago you could see the first part of their trip here, and now I’m showing you the second part.
“We spent another day in New York, shopping in the Meatpacking District and going out to a really chic spot where an R&B party took place. The day after we flew to Pittsburgh for the second party of the event. Pittsburgh is a strange city – fascinating but strange. The day after we catched our first sight of the train we’ll be touring on the coming days. I see the train, my jitters become twists, and at the moment I walk on the train, there’s a kind of vortex rushing through my stomach. Do you recall how you felt when you were little and woke up on the morning of your birthday? That’s how I felt when I walked into the first compartment. The train has a studio in which Ariel Pink will record an album during the trip. That night we brought some life to Pittsburgh, with performances by Ariel Pink and YOSHIMIO. Right now we’re getting on the train to travel to the next destinations. I feel a mix between Ringo Starr and Harry Potter, in short: I’m looking forward to it.”

I’m very curious about the rest of their trip, taking the train from NY to San Francisco with a bunch of creative people is recipe for important stories! You can follow this journey with Levi’s right here on Lovely By Lucy.
