From the latest updates, we got the news that Guernsey's States has approved the model of Secondary education. This new model of secondary education approves with 15 votes out of 23. Therefore, this site will operate one school and two site systems from 2021. This is the best operation rather than the system of 4 schools.
The transformation cost for this project will be around euro157 m. Therefore, the half cost will be spent on developing the two campuses.
There were so many deputies who agreed to conduct a review of these special educational needs. All the deputies say that this is the best project for all the people with special educational needs and disabilities provision.
Hence, the new funding structure of this project has included euro77.9m for redeveloping the sites. Whereas euro51.5 m is the funding structure for the specialist education facility. Therefore, euro22.4 m is kept for the renovations of Primary School at La Mar De Carteret.
These two sites will soon develop a combined institution at the sites of current secondary school, Les Beacamps and St. Sampson's High School.
Hence, the announcement for the name of this new combined educational institute will take place on July 2020. Lisia will be the one to announce the name for this new educational institute.
