We see plenty of great things that have been built in Minecraft, but it’s not often that you see a whole film. Minecraft Star Wars is exactly what it sounds like: the work of one man who is recreating the whole of A New Hope in Minecraft. See the trailer below to discover how accurate he has created the Star Wars universe!
The film has been in the making for three years, and won’t be finished until next year, but so far the project looks really amazing. In this trailer we can see huge Minecraft projects like the Jawa’s sandcrawler on Tatooine, the inside of the Death Star where Darth Vader and Obi-Wan fight, a huge Star Destroyer, and Luke’s landspeeder. It looks like everything has been made just right, and we can’t wait to see the final film.
When the film is finally released, it won’t have sound. Instead you just play your Star Wars: A New Hope DVD at the same time as the Minecraft film and you’ll be able to hear all the voices and music from the DVD, but watch the Minecraft film instead!
