Verdict on Standoff
Standoff is an action thriller following an assassin coming up against a veteran protecting a witness who can identify him. The two become caught up in a standoff in his home, as he looks to protect a child to recover from losing his own.
This is a story looking to show the redemption that one man wants. It uses the home to show the two men in the stand off for the chance to clean up a hit gone wrong. This does the basic and Jane and Fishburne are both enjoying the over the top need for their characters. It keeps us on edge without being as intense as it could have been.
Final Thoughts –Standoff is a late-night-action 101 treat.
