General Secretary of the Ceylon Teachers Union Joseph Stalin has been granted bail. He was released on two surety bails of Rs.500,000 each by Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage.
Stalin was arrested last week for allegedly violating a court order during a protest at the Bank of Ceylon Mawatha on May 28. He was produced before the Colombo Fort Magistrate last week by the Fort Police and was remanded till August 12.
