Police Sergeant A. Kularatne who assisted a student to bring her admission card to sit for the GCE Ordinary Level Examination at the Palannoruwa Maha Vidyalaya in Gonapola received commendation from the Panadura SSP Samantha Wedage yesterday.
The SSP also thanked the OIC of Moragahena police station IP Thusitha Wickramaratne for allowing his to assist the student. This student who learned that she failed to bring the admission card just few minutes before the commencement of the examination had sought help of the police sergeant who was on duty opposite the school. She is sitting for the maths subject for the second time. Kularatne had swiftly had taken her to the home to bring on his motorcycle after getting the approval from the OIC.
