According to the exchange rates published by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka today (17 May), Sri Lankan rupee appreciated against the US dollar. The buying rateper USD was recorded as 302.42 rupeesand the selling price as 316.18 rupees per USD.
Sri Lankan rupee has remained within the 320-310 range since the IMF loan approval in the month of March and has remained stable over the last two months. Over the last week the LKR has continued to appreciate against the USD.
