According to Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL), Sri Lanka has recorded a 57.5% increase in workers’ remittances in 2023 compared to the preceding year.
A total of USD 5,969.6 Mn has been recorded as the cumulative figure of foreign workers’ remittances for the year 2023.
