Spritz  app claims it can increase a user’s reading speed, without any special training, to 1,000 words per minute. That should allow you to read through Harry Potter  in 77 minutes. Impressive, but does it really work?!  The creators of Spritz claim the time consuming part of reading lies mainly in the actual eye movements from word to word and sentence to sentence.

“When reading, only around 20 percent of your time is spent processing content. The remaining 80 percent is spent physically moving your eyes from word to word.”

With this app, your eyes do not have to move from word to word or around the page that you’re reading. Technology developed around Spritz allows your eyes to stay focused on a speed-reading text box that shows no more than 13 characters at a time. Spritz team has been developing the app since 2010 but it is finally going to have its debut on upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5.

The team claim it is possible to improve your speed and train yourself to read faster. Do you believe them? Give it a try and tell us what you think.
