Hurray the flowers are in bloom and I can finally spend my days in dresses, skirts and more importantly floral prints! I went to the UK Blog Awards 2015 the other week as I'd been shortlisted as Best Lifestyle Blog. I unfortunately didn't win but I did get to wear the dress I'd been dying to showcase! I hadn't had time to get any style snaps on the day so Nick and I decided to head out for a glass of wine the other day, and whilst it was beautiful outside we took a stroll through my local park.
You will probably notice this is the first style post I've done in quite a while... if you had a read of my wedding dress meltdown post you'll understand that I've really lost my image confidence so this is a big step for me. I still have a lot of weight to lose but I'm determined to get back to where I was.
Anyway enough of the fluffy stuff, I fell in love with this dress and just had to share it. I had my hair done by the Hob Salon team in Camden and figured as my hair was feeling amazing I thought sod it... let's show my readers! I'd already featured this dress in my wedding guest style post and think it could work for that occassion and numerous summer events.
Dress - Chi Chi Alyssa Dress*£57.99, Shoes - F&F Black Suedette Sandals £16.00, Clutch - New Look Pale Blue Push Lock Clutch £12.99, Necklace - Accessorize Lily Flower Collar £14.00
I simply added plain black strappy sandals because I wanted the dress to do the talking. I wore this Chi Chi number at the blog awards with my new chunky Next gold platforms and would do again if I was wearing this for a night out with the girls perhaps. I really like the pale blue clutch though and thought it was a bargain for only £12.99.
What do you reckon? Floral dresses still a yay or are they a nay?
