My last spring painting was reflected in the actual weather here in Ithaca on New Year's Day. Everyone was out on the trails in our state parks and gorges. A few light rain showers did not deter any of us from enjoying nature. The only person I saw with an umbrella was a tourist in high heeled boots. NOT very practical for walking on our muddy trails.
Here's my second spring meadow painting, also done in an impressionistic style. I painted with small brushstrokes placed close together and finished by drawing some short lines in burnt umber and sap green.
