Spring + Vintage Tea Party

By Weddingblog2011

The first thing that attracted me to this styled shoot was the spring color scheme and the garden setting. There's a certain thing about tea parties that make things pretty and cute. Plus they added the vintage touch that was inspired by Marie Antoinette. I love the gold utensils against the spring colors around - talk about being glamorous and cute at the same time. I hope this helped you plan and find that perfect style for your dream wedding. Good luck!

The Theme:

The theme of this shoot was "Vintage Tea Garden." I teamed up with Yasmen Katrina Events and we decided to put our heads together and make something MAGICAL. So we choose it because we wanted to do something which reflected the old rustic vintage European countryside, but at the same time a bit different, and sparkly. Yasmen and I wanted to do the shoot outdoors and add greenery. When we saw The Bramble Tree Estates, we knew it would be the perfect venue.

Our inspiration was a mix of personal things; Yasmen's favorite color: blush, and her childhood memories in the English countryside, and also we both love Marie Antoinette European feel. We would have to say we fell in love with the chandelier from Vintage Chic Affairs, the chandelier florals from Arrangements - oh, did we mention the fabulous settee? The dress was also one of our favorite, because it added just enough sparkle to the theme.

The inspiration for the shoot centered around merging the old vintage theme with a more modern sparkle which gave the ability to merge two different feels and eras into one beautiful, soft yet sparkly day. I chose some rustic pieces, such as the chandelier and the settee, while adding in soft, sweet pieces like the sweetheart chairs and soft blue linen. Yasmen added the glamorous gold flatware to pop on the soft vintage mismatched china to keep in mind the contrast between vintage and sparkly.

We loved this shoot for many reasons: the blush and white flowers among all the greenery, both in the centerpiece and the chandelier, the look of the vintage tablescape, with the pop of glamorous gold on blue linen, and the way we were able to use an open green field and turn it into a romantic wedding space.

The Difficult And Easy Parts on Styling:

The most difficult part about this shoot was getting the right vendors together. Yasmen and I wanted to showcase all of the vendors in a magical way and I believe we achieved it. The easiest part was finding the venue; Bramble Tree is an oasis - it's simply beautiful.

Inspiration of the Decor and Details:

We came upon the décor from Marie Antoinette. We both LOVE her. She was always over the top with everything. Since Yasmen is from England, we decided to make the colors gold, pink, and pastel blue. Yasmen then decided to make it into a Vintage Tea Garden.

What do you think is the personality or preferences of the couple who would adopt this theme?

The personality of the couple would be lavish but yet simple. They would be looking for a way to have a grand wedding on a budget.
