When you think of Spring, what do you think? Lambs, Easter, maybe even Spring cleaning? You probably don't think about it being a good time of year to start redecorating, but March is homeware month at Dalton Park and home improvements are exactly what I want to talk about today.Since my parents had bought a new dining table and matching cabinet in the January sales (from Barker and Stonehouse actually) they've been looking for some new lighting to go in the room to add the finishing touches. On a recent day off, I took my Mam along to Dalton Park to have a look around and see if anything caught her eye.
With an array of stores, Dalton Park is a great place to visit for shopping and since the addition of Cineworld Cinema, I've found myself there more and more frequently. Conveniently located just off the A19 and open until 7pm throughout the week (5pm Sundays) it can be somewhere to pop to on your lunch break or a little detour on the way home.
After looking around and getting some ideas, I decided to give her and my Dad the task to pick some items up that they both liked. It was a little like putting my blog in their hands I guess, given that I was planning to share this but given that they've tastefully decorated the whole house, I knew they would find something that I'd like too.
As you can see from what they've picked out, we've got a statement chandelier light, a bargain at £49 instead of £170 and a similar style lamp, both from the Pagazzi outlet, to sit on the cabinet to the side of the new dining table. With the way the light reflects off the chandelier pieces, it gives a great warmth to the room and the perfect ambience to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. It almost has a Gatsby feel to it, with the detailing - do you agree?
As this month is all about homewares; there's a range of offers on, giving you a chance to bag some even better discounted items. Whether you're looking for a new teapot and some crockery - I recommend you get along to Denby and swoon over their color coordinated displays, new bedding is a necessity - get along to Bedeck or Christy, or you fancy sprucing up your living room with an accent wall and some eyecatching wallpaper - Graham and Brown are your go to! Why not get your spring clean on and give your kitchen/bedroom/whatever a new lease of life ready for the warmer months?
Would you like to see more home styling and interiors content on here, let me know!Items featured from Dalton Park were gifted. All other items were bought from other retailers and for anyone querying where the wallpaper is from, my Dad thinks it might have been B&Q.
