I toyed with the idea of making cute Easter eggs but reckoned they would most likely crack in the mail. Then I thought of making cute little chicks but figured out they might end up looking like ducklings.
So, I decided to make a bunny long doll bag in the third of my Spread L-o-v-e initiative.
This bunny bag is approximately 30cm tall by 10cm wide and it has a zipper opening at the back of its body (20cm by 7.5cm). This is absolutely my biggest sewing project so far and since I learnt everything from scratch, I can't even start to tell you how many times I wanted to rip my hair out when I sewed a seam wrongly, when the ears became lopsided or when my fingers got pricked. But you know what, I DID IT!
For those interested, I learnt to make this from the book "Cute stuff" by Aranzi Aronzo.
This bunny bag makes a cute pencil case for your little one or he/she can be creative and decide what goes into it. I'm not sure about your kid, but mine loves to collect all sorts of scrap everywhere to keep in her bag. It can also be a small present for yourself, your loved one or anyone who is special to you on this Easter.
Sorry I made this bag pink but I love the fabric! Who says boys can't wear pink, anyway?
