As you know I’m on a mini holiday in Anglesey, North Wales.
Whilst browsing twitter a few nights ago I noticed Clarence House tweeted that
Prince William would be starting the Ring Of Fire 3 day marathon on Anglesey on
Friday 30th August which is my last day on holiday, I knew I had to
go along to get to see the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge in person, and as I’m
from and live in Cambridge it made it even more special.
So today (30th August) we got up nice and early
and drove down to Holyhead and found a place to park along the sea front. It
was quite a walk from the car to breakwater Country Park where the race was
starting from.
Whilst walking down the long country road, TV broadcasting
vans kept driving past and we walked past numerous policemen keeping guard. We
finally arrived at Breakwater country park and walked past a couple of palace officials,
I could really sense excitement in the air!
As we found a nice spot to stand and wait, we saw paparazzi
gathering and a news reporter talking into a camera; all the race competitors
were gearing up ready to start the race.
At around 12:30PM the Duke of Cambridge Prince William made
his first appearance walking down the center of the start line, followed by the
Duchess of Cambridge which was a complete surprise, I was totally stars truck
as Kate is one of my style icons, she looked absolutely amazing wearing her
trusted wedges with a pair of J Brand skinny jeans turned up at the bottom with a
pretty bow blouse from Zara with the perfect seasonal cover up, a tailored
blazer from Ralph Lauren.
The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge met the volunteers who
helped with the race and some of the runners before ringing the bell to start
the race. The couple then made their way down past the queues of people waiting
to get a glimpse of the future King & Queen of England & congratulate the
happy couple on the birth of Prince George.
I was lucky enough to get up really close to the Duke &
Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William is so lovely and down to earth, he really
enjoyed meeting and greeting people. Kate looked absolutely beautiful, her hair
& make up so perfect and her outfit which was so stylish and perfect for
the seasonal changes in the weather. Kate loved meeting and greeting the
children and took her time to chat to a group of small children next to me
which gave me the perfect opportunity to get some lovely photos of Kate.
What a way to end my mini holiday in Anglesey!
Below are some of the photo’s I have taken of Kate &
