Microsoft Surface have teamed up with the Guardian and created a compelling microsite which illustrates why people should invest in their ‘Surface’ tablet by showcasing examples from a host of innovators described on the site as ‘The Rise Of The Renegade Professionals’.
While online you can browse interesting content such as featured stories including how Tom Barton and Philip Eeles the guys behind the ever popular Honest Burgers got started in business. Their quest to create the perfect burger was aided by technology and it is inspiring to hear how they started small with just a griddle pan and fryer making better quality burgers for hungry festival goers and “Never straying from a vision to perfect the burger”.
There are also many interesting quotes, of which perhaps the most telling comes from James Meyer from highly desirable cycle store Brother Cycles who says “I no longer feel I have a distinction between my work and personal life”.
Aside from distracting us from work related things like music, football results and gossip columns we ultimately feel this sentiment should be the aim of any tablet device with the rise of social media as a tool for business growth. It will certainly be very interesting to try working with a Microsoft Surface tablet when neon can get our hands on one.
