Dog & Kitty City is operated by the Humane Society of Dallas County and has operated for over 30 years as a no kill animal shelter. Their purpose is to provide a safe and healthy environment for the indigent, abused and neglected animals of Dallas.This shelter provides a service in educating the Dallas community on responsible pet ownership. As a 501.c3 non-profit organization they do not receive any tax support and rely solely on private donations. Their service to the animals depends completely on the generosity of the community and on committed, dedicated volunteers.

I am a huge supporter of adopting animals from shelters. Every pet I have had in my adult life has been a rescue animal. The joy you get from knowing you saved a life is given back to you a hundred fold - because they know it too!
