Patrick Etoile, the rather stupid starfish best friend of "SpongeBob", will soon be entitled to his spin-off.

The universe of Square SpongeBob SquarePants, one of the most popular series of the American chain Nickelodeon, could well expand. As the animated series continues to thrive after 21 years on the air, the network has decided to develop a spin-off centered around Patrick Etoile, Bob's starfish and silly best friend.
According to several sources, The Patrick Star Show will have 13 episodes and will be presented as a talk show hosted by Patrick himself. It will feature other members of the Star family, other characters from SpongeBob SquarePants and many new characters that should be voiced in the original version by Bill Fagerbakke, who is none other than the voice of Patrick.

The possibility of a spin-off of the adventures of Bob and his friends from Bikini Bottom was first raised in early 2019 by Nickelodeon president Brian Robbins, who then revealed that the channel was studying various projects derived from the successful series. The Kamp Koral prequel series, which recounts the stay of little Bob, aged 10, and his friends in a summer camp and expected in the United States on CBS All Access in early 2021, is also part of this extended universe.
