I had spiritual attacks come against me often as a child. Even more so during my teenage years into adulthood.
My mother also had the same problem.
I could not understand it. I had done nothing wrong.
I was an innocent child. Just seven years old at the onset of events.
My mother was a good parent and person. She never bothered anyone, was a lover and strong believer in Jesus Christ/God, yet we were constantly under attack from various areas.
What I did not know or understand back then was that the devil comes after those who have gifts, and who are children of the Lord.
When one is seeking or in relationship with God, living their life right, the devil works overtime.
Satan likes to use people as well as his demonic minions to carry out attacks against others who follow the Lord.
The darkness hates the light.
The devil will even use other Christians as a source of attack against fellow children of God.
I used to believe the Lord was to blame for all that was going on since he had the power to stop and to prevent things from occurring. Nothing can happen or exist without God’s permission or authority.
The attacks were the result of us being on the correct path.
The darkness tries to destroy the light.
Satan does not want any of God’s children to live out their purpose.
The devil fears the gifts that we possess. He does not want us to realize our full capacity given to us by God to bring glory to him and to his kingdom.
The darkness cannot overpower the light.
