~spicy Paprika Labneh Sauce~

By Ally @allykitchen

What can I write about this?  Something exotic like ‘I was traveling through Istanbul and happened upon the most seductively yummmeee food store where no one spoke nary a word of English…I was alone and starving…blah blah blah…’  Sorry, but the backstory is rather  boring~~I made a lamb stew and decided I needed a topping!  Of course, this is one of my favorite toppees that just makes food taste better.

So, other than being really tasty and usable with so much, well, excluding maybe brushing your teeth with it, it’s bohorifically deeeeelish!  I use this sauce on soups, meats, potatoes, veggies, eggs and more.   So have at it~~it’s easy, quick, healthy and a great addition to lots of foods!  You can add spices and herbs to the basic labneh making it your own~~once you have the yogurt, sour cream, garlic, sea salt, lemon juice/zest, it’s all about designing your own flavor profile(s)!

What you need:

1 cup Greek plain  yogurt or sour cream (or half and half)

1 tsp minced garlic

1/2 tsp. sea salt

Juice of one half lemon

1/2 tsp. smoked paprika

Optional~~

¼ cup chopped parsley/cilantro (optional)

1/2 cup sliced cherry tomatoes

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil (drizzle)

What you do:

Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and blend together.  Refrigerate until ready to use.  Optional ingredients can also be added.

I’m a labneh lover using it on/with so many things!
