Spending Some Quiet Time at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

Don't get me wrong. I love and need coffee in my life but this is my first time visiting The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. In fact, I rarely visit coffee shops. I actually already have a place I visit from time to time; not to mention, we have a coffee maker and a French press at home plus the occasional 3-in-1 coffee mix.

Look, I'm not a barista. I'm aware that there is a right way to make coffee but I enjoy making my own cup at home. It's fun, rewarding and not so expensive. But this does not mean that I'm not interested in visiting different coffee shops. I love the smell of fresh-made coffee (and tea) so I am bound to be attracted to them. It's just that I didn't have a lot of chance to visit The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. So when I finally did, I did not hesitate!

The Coffee Shop

This branch is located at the Corte Area on the ground floor. It has easy access to the entrance, the elevator and the comfort room. It also has a lovely view of the mall's garden area.

When you enter the coffee shop, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf features a bright, well-ventilated and spacious area coffee-lovers will love. During my visit, there were only a few customers and only two staff upfront. The girl at the cashier was friendly and she even helped me pick the right cup for my Abuelita and me.

The Coffee

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf do have some breakfast sets with a side of salad complete with an Americano, Today's Fresh Brew or tea of your choice. But we just had a lovely lunch and decided to just take it easy at the coffee shop.

We had a cup of their Today's Fresh Brew and a Chocolate Pecan Ice Blended coffee. I initially wanted the Fresh Brew with two packs of sugar but my Abuelita didn't like the Chocolate Pecan. So we exchanged and I added more sugar to her coffee.

I know I've only tasted two so far but I think they do make a good cup of coffee. Unfortunately, I don't think The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is for me. I adore the place and ambience but I just can't picture myself reading a book here, writing a script or even a blog post.

I'm thinking of visiting another branch, one near our place. If that doesn't work out then maybe, just maybe I'm not the type of coffee-lover who loves coffee shops. But if you love them, I'm not stopping you. The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf offers great choices and a great place for you. 🙂

You can find The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf on the Ground Floor, Ayala Malls The 30th, Meralco Avenue, Ugong, Pasig City.

Happy eating and coffee drinking!
