Spectral Nights’ 100th Post – Our Lost Infantry Play The Dry Salvages in a Church

Posted on the 04 April 2014 by Spectralnights

To mark our 100th post, we have a very special video from our friends Our Lost Infantry. It’s safe to say this site probably wouldn’t exist without the recently expanded Surrey five piece, who have always been fully supportive and provided us with so many band suggestions and pictures of their constantly smiling bass player, Joey.

With sound recorded by Ollie Greville of Death of the Blogger, the video finds the band performing ‘The Dry Salvages’ acoustically in a beautiful church. The first song to be aired from their forthcoming ‘Interregnum’ EP, it hints at the direction they will take, although the stripped-down surroundings give more attention to the graceful lyrics and allow Thom Ashworth’s vocals to fill the room in exquisite fashion.

This seems an appropriate time to thank anyone who has ever read an article on site, landed on the site by mistake or taken the time to email us, retweet or share an article in any way. Here’s to another 100, hey?
