Story:
Special Chabbis has a very simple story. It’s about a bunch of con artists who go on robbing the wealthy politicians and businessman faking as CBI officials.
Performances:
All the actors performed in a subtle way. Akshay Kumar performed very well. Jimmy Shergill was superb in his role as an inspirited who wanted to get cleared of his shame.
But the real highlights of the film are Anupam Kher and Manoj Bajpayee. Both these actors rocked in their respective roles. They made their characters really believable and instantly connectable to the audience. No wonder, the best scene of the film features the two actors together during the second half of the film.
Kajal has nothing much to do acting wise but her character here was certainly better than her last Hindi outing. Other character actors too did well even though their roles were limited in nature.

Analysis:
After watching Special Chabbis trailer anyone will get interest to watch it as its from the director who made A Wednesday in which he was successful in delivering emotions of common person very well. The film did well at box office which prompted its South Indian remake starring none other than Kamal Haasan in the lead.
The movie starts with a small heist and then it shows the background of each person in the group. The pace in the movie has been maintained through out the film without any unnecessary scenes barring the Kajal which slows down the pace whenever it starts. The twists in the movie are revealed interestingly which would thrill everyone, it also makes the movie less predictable.
Story is very simple, it’s the screenplay which keeps audience engaged till the very end of the movie. The director was successful in getting what he wanted from every character and technical department. In order to convince the audience the vehicles, money and everything has been maintained that of 1980′s.
Music is nice but most of the songs are unnecessary. Background music helps a lot in keeping the things fast paced through out the film.
Bottom Line: Special Chabbis is indeed special.
