It's the opening weekend of Southside Fringe festival and on Saturday 11th May there will be a fiesta of fun with a procession as well as entertainment and stalls at the new civic square.
Southside Fringe are working with My Shawlands and Baldy Bane Theatre Company to deliver this community showcase celebrating the wealth of diversity in the Southside of Glasgow.
The procession starts at midday from Loks beside Pollok FC ground and makes it's way up Kilmarnock Road and Pollokshaws Road. Local groups, schools, businesses and acts will showcase the Southside diversity by creating a riot of colour!
Finishing at the civic square, everyone can enjoy an afternoon of live entertainment from local schools and content drawn from the 2019 Southside Fringe Festival programme. All will be complemented by stalls populated by Shawlands' businesses with plenty to keep the kids amused too!
