South Carolina GOP Extremist On Race And Religion
If you had any doubts about the extremist views of the GOP (especially on race and religion), then just look at the answers South Carolina Republicans gave to the latest Public Policy Polling survey. That poll was done on February 14th and 15th of 897 Likely Republican primary voters, and has a margin of error of 3.3 points.
About 54% of those Republicans said the Confederate flag should still be flying over the South Carolina capital, and 60% said they thought muslims should be banned from entering the United States.
And the supporters of the two leading GOP candidates were even worse. About 62% of Cruz supporters and 70% of Trump supporters wanted to Confederate flag to fly over the state capital. And 67% of Cruz supporters and 80% of Trump supporters want muslims to be banned from entering the United States.
These people are not just bigots -- they are downright scary!
