Mat Kearney released a new single and I am obsessed. I have always been a fan of Kearney’s work. I find that his music is perfect for just about anything… car rides, exercising, relaxing, or even a party. This new song stays true to his past work, which may be why I was drawn to it. Given that I already loved his older albums, I had a feeling I would love this too.
I didn’t expect him to change genres or anything (like T.Swift), but I was expecting a little change. I think there is a bit of a difference , but not drastic enough for me to have an entirely new opinion on his music. He seems to be following that pop trend that is taking over the music industry, and that is fine! It is great and I am very pleased with this new song.
The song is called Heartbeat and I promise you will not be disappointed. It really will brighten your day and give you a little pep in your step!
