We are fond of a salon keratin treatment, it's similar to a Brazilian blow-dry in that it keeps your hair super smooth for 2-3 months. It also makes traveling easier because even when using standard hotel shampoos, your hair remains manageable and fizz-free. With the lockdown and travel restrictions, we neglected our barnet and so with a 14 day quarantine to get through a recent trip, we decided to give this SOS Shane O'Sullivan Keratin Rescue Treatment a whirlwind. Shane is a celebrity hairstylist and created Easilocks, specializing in clip-in extensions like on Chezza, Rita Ora and Margot Robbie, so it's safe to say he knows how to make a girl look great.
The treatment is the first of its kind and claims to offer standard salon results for a fraction of the price at just £ 35 (a decent salon keratin treatment can cost you around £ 125). We've tried quite a few home conditioning treatments so we were quite skeptical, but we have to say he really did what he said on the tin... or the box in this case. It is very easy to use, only takes 10 minutes - it has a pretty strong chemical smell, but it subsides after a few days. It doesn't take too long though and while you are using gloves to apply, other than that there really is no mess.
Our hair has been transformed and even though it hasn't been cut in a few months, the number of people asking us if we have been doing it was truly amazing. If you are fighting frizz in this humid weather, we seriously recommend you give it a try!
