Last week, GRAMMY® award winning Gospel singer, Sonya Isaacs, along with her mega-hit songwriter husband Jimmy Yeary, attended the funeral of fallen Metro Nashville Police Department Officer, John Anderson. Their three year old son, Gatlyn Solomon Yeary, wore his own police uniform to provide support and offer his utmost respect to all who were deeply affected by the tragic loss.
Officer Anderson died as a result of trauma from multiple blunt force injuries suffered in a vehicle crash last week, according to reports.
Officials said Jayona Brown, 17, was driving a Ford Fusion during the early morning hours of July 4 when she sped past a blinking red light, hitting Anderson’s police cruiser, which hit a utility pole and burst into flames. The officer was on his way to a call at the time of the accident.
