A few days ago, we heard some rumours about Sony getting ready to unveil a fresh slate on the lines of their newest smartphone Xperia Z & all of that has now been affirmed as the Japanese mobile phone manufacturer has officially declared the Xperia Tablet Z. It is only accessible for the Japanese marketplaces at the moment, though it will certainly make its way to other souks.
The features of the slate are similar to the rumours which we got to know earlier & the Xperia Tablet Z arrives with a 10.1inches screen giving a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. Beneath the hood, the Xperia tablet Z is power driven by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad core central processing unit combined with 2 GB of RAM.
The Xperia Tablet Z at a quick glance:
• 10.1inch display with 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution
• Android v4.1 Jelly Bean
• 1.5GHz quad core processor, 2 GB RAM
• 32 GB internal storage, micro SD card slot
• LTE, NFC, Bluetooth, WiFi
• 8.1 MP primary camera
It works on Android v4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box & we guess that it will be updated to Android v4.2 shortly after it begins shipping. The Xperia Tablet Z arrives with 32GB of internal memory space but opposite to its rivals such as the iPad 4 or Nexus 10, it also has a micro SD card slot for memory expansion.
The Xperia Tablet Z flaunts an 8.1 MP rear snapper with Exmore R technology which would make it do fairly well in all situations. It also comes with Sony Xperia T Force virtual surround sound system, LTE and NFC.
It is similar to the Xperia Z smartphone, as it is also dustproof & waterproof, & arrives with a 6,000mAh battery.
