On the United States Patent and Trademark Office website, Sony filed for the trademark “PlayStation TV.” The trademark application is dated on June 26 of this year. The application reveals little else about PlayStation TV, but is marked as a service so it’s intended to be a service (think Netflix or HBOGo).
Curiously enough, a previous, “deceased” version of the PlayStation TV trademark can also be found on the internets. That one was filed back in September 2006 and officially abandoned almost six years later, in 2012.
Both seem to revolve around this simple mockup logo…
