Songs You Should Hear Series :: "I Only Dance When I Want To" by The Spook School

By Ventipop @ventipop

My daughter sang "I Only Dance..." for two days straight then asked me to play that "Dancing Lady Song" again. What more needs to be said other than the rest of the record is filled with dark "infectious pop numbers" that add up to a pretty bold celebration of our differences. God knows we need brilliantly catchy, toe-tapping songs in these times of divisiveness and unease. Songs that make you think a bit while you're singing along...or just be nine and like the beat like my daughter. Both are fine. Both are needed.

Really support The Spook School, see them live at one of these fine cities near you: Denver, Salt Lake City, Boise, Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, San Fran, Santa Cruz, Highland Park, San Diego, Tucson, Austin, Dallas, New Orleans, Atlanta, Asheville, Charlotte, Carrboro, Washington DC, Brooklyn, Allston, Philly then across the pond to the UK.
