Sometimes I Lie by Alice Feeney

By Pamelascott

My name is Amber Reynolds. There are three things you should know about me.

  1. I'm in a coma.
  2. My husband doesn't love me anymore.
  3. Sometimes I lie.

Unnerving twisted and utterly compelling, you won't be able to put this new thriller down. Set to be the most talked about book in 2017, it's perfect for fans of Behind Closed Doors, The Girl on the Train and The Widow.

Includes a preview of Alice Feeney's latest novel, I Know Who You Are.

I loved Sometimes I Lie. This is one of the best thrillers I've read in ages. I read a LOT so that's quite an achievement. One of my favourite narrative style is an unreliable narrator. This is when the book is written in the first person and at some point usually quite a way into the book you discover the narrator has been feeding you BS. This book has the best example of an unreliable narrator I've come across. My jaw hit the floor a few chapters from the end when you realise Amber fed me BS. I love being surprised. This is well-written, full of twists and compelling. An incredible book.
