DC Editor Adam writes… The latest closure in the redevelopment of Denmark Street is the wonderful Alley Cat Bar.
We will make our last visit to the Alley Cat – where the LIVE music section of my Rock'n'Roll London Walk takes place – on Wednesday 22nd November.

We've known for some time that this great little venue is to close. And I will be looking for a new live music venue for the Rock'n'Roll Pub Walk for when the walk returns in April 2018, but I will miss the Alley Cat very much.
Particular thanks to Max who runs the place. Max knows his music and he looks after our London Walkers with a unique flourish on a Wednesday night. I will miss his strong opinions on both music and the affairs of the day almost as much as I will miss the lovely, dingy, rough-and-ready bar where I play.
Thanks Max. And thanks to everyone who has helped make the LIVE music section of the Rock'n'Roll London Pub Walk such a success.
I like to think the tour is a little bit special – to my knowledge it is the only walking tour in town that features live music from your tour guide. It's "troubadour-guided" as London Walks' pen David states on www.walks.com. It's the highlight of my Walking Week and it has generated some of the best feedback I've ever had for my London Walks tours. Here are my two faves… "A great night out!" phoebe-mllr, TripAdvisor
(It's a great night out for me, too. I get to hang with music fans for a couple of hours and hear their own music stories.)  "It's like being on a tour with your own personal rock star." Morgan Pattee, Facebook (So who wouldn't like that review? Thanks Morgan!)
Come and help us give the Alley Cat a good send-off on Wednesday 22nd November - meet me at 7pm Tottenham Court Road tube.
So long. It's been good to know ya.
