Veteran Yoruba movie actress, Lola Idije has revealed how some people used to look at actresses as wayward people who were living fake lives. In a video that was posted on the official Instagram page of Talktob5000, during an interview with Biola Adebayo, she disclosed that some people used to believe that actresses are wayward and that they live fake lives to survive.
In her statement, she said, “I started acting movies at the age of 36 years, I was already married and I had 2 children at the time. I never knew I could become an actress because I was a businesswoman before. It was my brother who advised me to start acting, and I believed that he must have seen something that I didn’t know. That’s why he insisted that I become an actress. When I started acting, I wasn’t after money and fame, it was God that gave it to me. Some people used to believe that actresses were wayward and that we lived fake lives. Some didn’t want their children to start acting because there was no money in it, we were all suffering and smiling at that time.”………See More
