
IPOB/ESN members killed in Anambra
Nigerian troopers have killed many members of the Jap Safety Community (ESN), the paramilitary arm of the Indigenous Folks of Biafra (IPOB).
The IPOB fighters had been killed throughout a gun battle with troopers of the Nigerian Military and different safety forces in Anambra State.
In response to a press release on Tuesday by the Director Military Public Relations, Brigadier Common Onyema Nwachukwu, the gun battle befell on Monday at Lilu Forest in Ihiala Native Authorities Space of Anambra State
Lilu is a border city between Imo and Anambra States and in accordance with the Military assertion, the forest has served as an operational hideout for the IPOB/ESN members.
The assertion by Nwachukwu revealed that a number of weapons and objects together with 10 Pump Motion Shotguns, two regionally fabricated weapons, One Revolver pistol, rounds of seven.62 mm particular, dwell cartridges, machetes and IPOB flags had been recovered from the battle scene.

"The operations, which was carried out within the early hours of Monday 17 January 2022, led to the neutralization of some gunmen in a fireplace struggle that ensued. After dislodging the dissidents from their fortress, the dogged troops recovered 10 Pump Motion Shotguns, two regionally fabricated weapons, One Revolver pistol, rounds of seven.62 mm particular, dwell cartridges, machettes and IPOB flags. Different objects recovered are cellphones, laptops amongst different harmful weapons. "The operation was jointly conducted by troops of 82 Division, Nigerian Navy, 211 Quick Response Group of the Nigerian Air Force, Department of State Services and the Nigeria Police. It was a well-coordinated dawn attack on the fortress, where plans were been perfected to violently enforce the illegitimate sit-at-home declaration by the irredentist groups."
