FARMERS in rural parts of the world may soon be able to benefit from solar powered tractors.
While they've been talked about for years now, a couple from Arkansas, decided rather than waiting they would create their own.
Though the renewable energy powered vehicle will require charging between 8-10 hours, for those only needing it for a couple of hours at a time the tractor is perfect.
A spokesperson from www.theecoexperts.co.uk said: “We are well aware that people living in rural areas all over the world benefit from solar energy for many different energy appliances.
“For many people in rural areas tractors are absolutely essential, but power supply can be precarious at best. Farm vehicles can also release loads of polluting emissions, so being able to power the vehicle with green energy and no cost while helping the environment is fantastic.”
