Flirting in Spanish is a beautifully written book. Susan McKinney de Ortega tells her story with honesty and undeniable grace. Being a lifelong expatriate myself, her tale appeals to me. However, I also know beyond a shadow of a doubt that anyone who believes in love, and is willing to take a risk for it, will enjoy Flirting in Spanish. In addition, Ortega’s description of dealing with Mexican culture is thought-provoking and quite often told with ironic humor. What I love most about this book is how it stays with me even now when I’ve finished reading it. Random scenes keep popping into my mind, most of which encourage me to be a little braver with my own heart.-- Sofia Essen
