Ressourcenreiche Netzwerke mit einer hohen „supportiven Valenz“ fördern Sicherheit und Gesundheit. Netzwerkdiagnostik und Netzwerkarbeit, die Affiliationen etwa zur Nachbarschaft oder Selbsthilfeinitiativen herstellen, werden deshalb besonders bei sozialen Randgruppen, bei Migranten, Drogenabhängigen, Alterspatienten wichtig.

Understanding Mobiles: Understanding mobile devices is a significant aspect of digital marketing because smartphones and tablets are now responsible for 64% of the time US consumers are online (Whiteside, 2016).[37] Apps provide a big opportunity as well as challenge for the marketers because firstly the app needs to be downloaded and secondly the person needs to actually use it. This may be difficult as ‘half the time spent on smartphone apps occurs on the individuals single most used app, and almost 85% of their time on the top four rated apps’ (Whiteside, 2016).[37] Mobile advertising can assist in achieving a variety of commercial objectives and it is effective due to taking over the entire screen, and voice or status is likely to be considered highly; although the message must not be seen or thought of as intrusive (Whiteside, 2016).[37] Disadvantages of digital media used on mobile devices also include limited creative capabilities, and reach. Although there are many positive aspects including the users entitlement to select product information, digital media creating a flexible message platform and there is potential for direct selling (Belch & Belch, 2012).[39]
In my experience, however, one member of the team rarely has a seat at the table: the IT guy. Representatives of the IT departments of the customers for whom these digital experiences are being built are rarely, if ever, included. I reach out to people a lot, so this app is my go-to app to reach people. It is one of the simplest ways where I know 90% of people will see their message. When I message people on LinkedIn, they may or may not check. Twitter, I mostly ignore the messages I receive because it is typically a bunch of spam. Google+, you just don’t know if they will check. The list goes on. With the Facebook Messenger app, I know more than likely my message will be seen.

Trend spotting refers to the latest consumers’ comments about a brand, product or service that must be targeted. Some tools can be provided by Google Trends, Trendsmap (Twitter) and other sites that report what is in everybody’s mouths worldwide.
What a horrible thing to happen. It is so important that we don’t rush to allow our kids to use social media too early. They need to be mature enough to be able to spot predators, and old enough to tell parents if it happens. It’s also so important that parents educate themselves on what these apps, do. What the content is inside the apps ,does it have privacy settings that actually block and protect your child. Sadly so many parents don’t seek out education around technology or cyber safety. Most parents think it won’t happen to their child, they also believe they know enough. I teach I.T teachers about cyber safety. Cyber Safety education is a very specialised area, no matter how much experience you have with computers and the internet, parents need to learn HOW their kids are using these things. Don’t think you know enough…find out for sure! If you have the opportunity to attend a technology or cyber safety talk please go, and take your friends. Knowledge is power.

Leider offenbart sich auch in meiner Beschäftigung mit dem digitalen Marketing, dass vieles Neue hierzulande erdacht wird, der daraus resultierende wirtschaftliche Profit aber allzu oft hauptsächlich von amerikanischen oder asiatischen Unternehmen realisiert wird. Um als innovativer Standort im internationalen Wettbewerb aber weiter bestehen zu können, braucht es in Deutschland dringend eine gesellschaftliche Grundhaltung, die Innovation auch als Chance zu erkennen weiß. Bislang scheint hierzulande die Haltung besonders ausgeprägt, mit erstarrtem Blick auf das Risiko die Gunst der Stunde gerne auch verstreichen zu lassen. Hinsichtlich der Arbeit an einer solchen Grundhaltung sind neben der Politik sicherlich auch Schulen und Hochschulen konkret gefragt. In dieser Verantwortung möchte ich als Hochschullehrer in Forschung und Bildung meinen Beitrag leisten.
