“social Media for Business Should Have _name Some Social Networking Sites”

By Julia Fernandes @appshub

In recent years, social media personalities (also known as digital influencers) have been employed by marketers to promote products online. Research shows that digital influencer endorsements seem to be successfully targeting social media users,[247] especially younger consumers who have grown up in the digital age.[248] Celebrities with large social media followings, such as Kylie Jenner, regularly endorse products to their followers on their social media pages.[249] This practice has become controversial in recent years, as some feel that the endorsements are too implicit, and consumers may not realize that a celebrity’s post has been paid for or sponsored by a corporate entity. This has led to some broadcasting authorities imposing regulations on product endorsement by digital celebrities in order to make the endorsements more explicit.[250][251]

Once you’ve finished with your social media audit, it’s time to hone your online presence. Choose which networks best meet your social media goals. If you don’t already have social media profiles on each network you focus on, build them from the ground up with your broader goals and audience in mind. If you do have existing accounts, it’s time to update and refine them to get the best possible results.

Furthermore, social media’s role in democratizing media participation, which proponents herald as ushering in a new era of participatory democracy, with all users able to contribute news and comments, may fall short of the ideals. Social media has been championed as allowing anyone with an Internet connection to become a content creator[88] and empowering the “active audience”.[112] But international survey data suggest online media audience members are largely passive consumers, while content creation is dominated by a small number of users who post comments and write new content.[72]:78 Others[113] argue that the effect of social media will vary from one country to another, with domestic political structures playing a greater role than social media in determining how citizens express opinions about “current affairs stories involving the state”. According to the “Reuters Institute Digital News Report 2013”, the percent of online news users who blog about news issues ranges from 1–5%. Greater percentages use social media to comment on news, with participation ranging from 8% in Germany to 38% in Brazil. But online news users are most likely to just talk about online news with friends offline or use social media to share stories without creating content.[72]:78

There are arguments that “privacy is dead” and that with social media growing more and more, some heavy social media users appear to have become quite unconcerned with privacy. Others argue, however, that people are still very concerned about their privacy, but are being ignored by the companies running these social networks, who can sometimes make a profit off of sharing someone’s personal information. There is also a disconnect between social media user’s words and their actions. Studies suggest that surveys show that people want to keep their lives private, but their actions on social media suggest otherwise. Another factor is ignorance of how accessible social media posts are. Some social media users who have been criticized for inappropriate comments stated that they did not realize that anyone outside their circle of friends would read their post; in fact, on some social media sites, unless a user selects higher privacy settings, their content is shared with a wide audience.

Apple’s iPhone 5c: Created a Tumblr page, labeling it “Every color has a story” with the website name: “ISee5c”. As soon as you visit the website, the page is covered with different colors representing the iPhone 5c phone colors and case colors. When you click on one of the colored section, a 15-second video plays a song and “showcases the dots featured on the rear of the iPhone 5c official cases and on the iOS 7 dynamic wallpapers…”,[82] concluding with words that are related to the video’s theme.

To create these images, you can consult a social media image size chart that will show you the exact breakdown of dimensions for each photo on each network. For an even easier time of it, you can use a tool like Crello or Canva, which comes with prebuilt templates that set the proper sizes for you.

Digital marketing is a term that has been around for quite awhile but hasn’t been very well defined, encompassing things like banner advertising, search engine optimization (SEO) and pay per click. Yet, this is too narrow of a definition. What about email, RSS, voice broadcast, fax broadcast, blogging, podcasting, video streams, wireless text messaging, and instant messaging? You get the idea.

I’m a social media content consumer. I love to devour content and love to find great posts and tips to share. For me, the Buffer app is a huge favorite, but I’ll admit there’s a bit more to it than that. Let me explain…

Space-locators (only location sensitive): Exchange of messages, with relevance for one specific location, which are tagged to a certain place and read later by others (e.g. Yelp; Qype, Tumblr, Fishbrain)

A key component of setting effective goals for your social media strategy is to determine what metrics you’ll use to measure their success. Go beyond vanity metrics such as retweets and likes. Focus on things such as leads generated, web referrals, and conversion rate. For more on this, check out our posts on social media metrics, social ads metrics, and social video metrics that matter.

For that reason, you’re probably less likely to focus on ‘leads’ in their traditional sense, and more likely to focus on building an accelerated buyer’s journey, from the moment someone lands on your website, to the moment that they make a purchase. This will often mean your product features in your content higher up in the marketing funnel than it might for a B2B business, and you might need to use stronger calls-to-action (CTAs).

Creating a killer social media campaign isn’t about the support of a great brand or having the right assets. It’s about striking the delicate balance of perfect timing, relevant messaging and the right audience. While everyone and his mother — and g…

However, with digital marketing there are some setbacks to this type of strategy. One major setback that is identified, is that Digital marketing is highly dependent on the internet. This can be considered as a setback because the internet may not be accessible in certain areas or consumers may have poor internet connection.[52]

Earned media is the online coverage your business gets as a result of interacting with customers, other players in your industry, or news sources. In the most simplistic terms, it’s word-of-mouth marketing. Generally speaking, your company can’t control this. If your customers leave bad reviews of your products or services online, earned media can hurt your business — but if you have products that wow, a customer service team that’s on-the-ball, and positive media attention, your earned assets can be particularly powerful.

WhatsApp was founded by Jan Koum and Brian Acton.WhatsApp joined Facebook in 2014, but continues to operate as a separate app with a laser focus on building a messaging service that works fast and reliably anywhere in the world.WhatsApp started as an alternative to SMS. Whatsapp now supports sending and receiving a variety of media including text, photos, videos, documents, and location, as well as voice calls. Whatsapp messages and calls are secured with end-to-end encryption, meaning that no third party including WhatsApp can read or listen to them. Whatsapp has a customer base of 1 billion people in over 180 countries.[55][56] It is used to send personalised promotional messages to individual customers. It has plenty of advantages over SMS that includes ability to track how Message Broadcast Performs using blue tick option in Whatsapp. It allows sending messages to Do Not Disturb(DND) customers. Whatsapp is also used to send a series of bulk messages to their targeted customers using broadcast option. Companies started using this to a large extent because it is a cost effective promotional option and quick to spread a message. Still, Whatsapp doesn’t allow businesses to place ads in their app.[57]
