Socata TB-20 Trinidad

@ Chania, Greece

January 2026

Spotted this very tired looking Socata TB-20 Trinidad after our arrival at the Chania International Airport in Greece. Developed in Tarbes, France (hence the “TB”) by SOCATA, a subsidiary of Aérospatiale, the Trinidad was the flagship of their “Caribbean Series,” which included the TB-9 Tampico and TB-10 Tobago. The TB series all shared the same basic fuselage and interior configuration. The primary differences between the models were found in areas such as the landing gear, engine, and propeller. Introduced in 1975, production of the TB series aircraft ended in 2012. During the late 1980s, China was reportedly considered licensed production of the TB-20 Trinidad.
