You know it’s going to be a hard day when you have trouble in opening a simple brick of milk. This may be the reason Richard Lester used this in the opening titles to illustrate the hard day mentioned in The Beatles’ song.
The images on the vending machine behind the “design victim” show how easy should be to open the package. But the TetraPak in the movie, just as the new ones, although being a great design example —and even a museum piece— still have some unresolved design problems when it comes to open it with your hands… or mouth.
