So long, summer. That is a phrase that I am not ready to say. I know that technically summer isn’t over until September 22nd but it always feels that summer comes to a close after labor day weekend. Saying goodbye to summer is always so hard for me. Especially after the summer that we have had. This has been one of my favorite summers in as long as I can remember. We actually went into the summer with a no plan plan (this post explains that further). We knew things would fall into place and we would plan get-aways along the way but like we have always said, things will work out how they are meant to be.

From a trip to Paris, visiting California a couple of times, a Las Vegas 4th of July, two separate Miami trips (one for our birthdays and one for our anniversary) and then wrapping up the summer with a long weekend in Nantucket with friends. This summer did not disappoint and I know the fall will not as well. Although I am going to miss afternoons at the pool, I am looking forward to cooler temperatures, football season, wearing sweaters and boots and even snuggling up and enjoying indoor fires!

I hope you all had the most wonderful summer and are starting to get in a ‘fall’ state of mind. Here’s to hoping for cooler temperatures! xx
