SO HERE IT IS!
The dress ive been working on.
Made as a toil for one of my collection pieces, this dress is partially Pret-a-porter, partially Haute Couture as much of it was done by hand due to the delicate nature of the silk fabric.
Made to measure, I took the basic silhouette of one of the dresses from my collection and adapted it to my own size & style, making allowances for my back problem - covering my scar and taking into consideration the July heat in central France! I had many a compliment & the envy of women in their tight fitting, bustier dresses, who were practically passing out in the sun as we drank champagne and danced the evening away…
I absolutely love this dress as I have never worn a Real made to measure piece before, normally I just wear the sample garment straight off the rack, but Im so glad i made the effort as I was so comfortable, however all was almost lost when a pink cocktail got knocked right down the front of me! all was saved however thanks to a clever dry cleaner.
I look forward to sharing the original with you when my collection is complete as sadly you cant really appreciate it in this photo because its all in the movement of the fabric and by the time I had a photo opportunity the Vivienne Westwood heals where off! lol.
