So after a 2 week road trip round the Scottish mountains, I feel relaxed, inspired and open to start my day in the studio.
Rest and recuperation is so vitally important to creativity, and although my first day back has been tiring, I am benefiting from one of the pleasures of being a designer: When making a mock up of one of my designs, I can choose a fabric I want to wear, and fit it to myself - perfect for wearing to the wedding that I have been invited to next month - and It takes NO time out of my work hours as mock ups are a vital part of producing a fashion collection. Yey :) !
This dress will finish in black and white but for my own purposes ive gone with Powder Grey Silk and Turquoise chiffon!
