Snoop Dogg’s video collaboration brings together “Curb Your Enthusiasm”& “Web3

The famous rapper uses Astro Project to give fans access to music video assets. The combination of Snoop Dogg and Web3 is coming to be commonplace.

The legendary rapper from the West Coast released a music video on Saturday for his song “Crip Ya Enthusiasm.” The movie features a digital performance that was captured by the Web3 firm Astro Project. Additionally, the company is responsible for the creation of the digital setting in which the video takes place.

The television show’s theme song was remixed for the song, and the music video was animated using Unreal Engine. The music video contains numerous references to the show “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” building on the fact that the theme song was used for the song. The manner in which he is dressed, the style of glasses he wears, and his unmistakable hairline all give the impression that Snoop Dogg’s avatar is the comedian Larry David.

David is also familiar with Web3. Earlier this year, he was in an FTX commercial that was shown in millions of homes during the Super Bowl. The theme song for his TV show was also made into a 1-of-1 NFT.

The launch of the music video was timed to coincide with the distribution of 11,111 digital donuts, which act as digital keys and allow users to access various assets from the music video, such as 3D models and character animations. Astro Project made the digital donuts available to the public at the same time.

The company has also distributed tutorials and guides that show donut owners how to create their own scenes and animations using Unreal Engine. The company claims that it decided to make the image of the access key a donut because this is typically one of the first things a 3D artist learns to create.

Motion capture of Snoop Dogg was done at Astro Project’s “Portal” studio in Santa Monica, California, and was used in the music video.

Since October 13, when donuts started trading on OpenSea, a total of 0.227 Ethereum, or just near $300, has been traded in the project. On Astro Project’s website, you can “mine” the donuts for.06 Ethereum, which is about $80. As of Sunday afternoon, just over 250 had been “mined.”

Crip Ya Enthusiasm was first heard on Snoop Dogg’s album “Bacc On Death Row,” which came out in February. This was the first album he put out after buying the rights to Death Row Records, the label that helped him get his career started.

For the release, Snoop Dogg and Gala Music created a distinct line of NFTs, where people can buy digital collectibles like single songs. The price of an NFT for the song Crip Ya Enthusiasm is currently 0.8 Ethereum, which is just over $1,000. On OpenSea, 944 Ethereum, or $1.2 million, has been traded for this project.

The rapper has been working on a number of Web3 projects, and this is a continuation of that work. This year, Snoop Dogg and Eminem performed as NFTs from the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection at the MTV Video Music Awards.

He said last summer that he wanted to open a dessert shop in Los Angeles with a BAYC theme.

Snoop Dogg also owns virtual land in The Sandbox, a metaverse project where one person paid the equivalent of $450,000 to be his neighbor. He has been collecting NFTs for a long time, but he is still optimistic about the market, saying that the bear market “weeded out” unworthy people and projects.

The famous person has become such a well-known voice in the Web3 space that actor Anthony Hopkins once asked him which NFT he should purchase first, and a group of consumers called him out for his huge impact on the market.
