Last year I took part in Sunderland Live's Zip Wire Challenge. If you've not yet seen the video, give it a watch, even if it's just to giggle at me flying across the river. Nicola from the team got in touch to ask if I'd like to attend the press preview for the WearSlide. Luckily it was happening during my week off work, so I had to go along!WearSlide is a 100m water slide, that's set to be a huge attraction - especially considering tickets sold out in just 90 minutes! There's still a few slots available through the charity partners, so if you want to take part, head to Sunderland Live's website for all the details. It takes place on 25th and 26th April in Herringon Country Park and if you're heading along on the Sunday and spot me, make sure you say hello! I'll be taking part for St Oswald's Hospice and you can sponsor me if you like via my JustGiving page.
The preview was a lot of fun and hopefully this time next month it'll be a little milder (or not so windy at the very least) especially for the sake of the Capital FM guys if they're back to give it another go in their shorts...
Obviously the WearSlide will be bigger, better and probably a lot more soapy!
For more information on WearSlide, see Sunderland Live's website. This post was not sponsored, I was just invited along to take part in the preview. All images are my own - thanks Dad for being my personal photographer!
