Raw juices and smoothies play a major role in my daily diet. Over the past year I’ve been honing in my smoothie and juice making skills and figured it was time to share a few old and new smoothie recipes. Every day this week I’ll be posting an A+mazing smoothie recipe culminating in a smoothie roundup post on Saturday. First up is my newly developed French Vanilla Black Tea Smoothie featuring my favorite Bigelow Black Tea. Oh how sweet it is!

French Vanilla Black Tea
2 medjool dates, pitted and diced
2 tablespoons almond milk
1 cup brewed french vanilla black tea, cold
1 tablespoon vanilla protein powder
1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
3 tablespoons gluten free rolled oats
1/4 teaspoon tablespoon vanilla
1 tablespoon maple syrup
10 drops pure stevia extract
1/2 cup crushed ice

  1. Place two Bigelow French Vanilla tea bags in a container and fill with two cups of filtered water. Refrigerate and  allow to steep overnight or for at least 12 hours.
  2. Add all ingredients into a blender in order listed and process until smooth.
  3. Transfer to a serving glass, serve immediately.
