Blackview has launched a smartphone called BL9000 Pro in the market. The Blackview brand is well known for their rugged smartphones. This latest phone is no exception. However, the main attraction of the handset is not its 5G connectivity or huge 8,800 mAh battery support. It has high resolution thermal imaging support, as seen in military movies. Within days of the launch of the cheapest Blackview Hero 10 flip phone, the attractive Blackview BL9000 Pro rugged handset made its debut in the market. Blackview BL9000 Pro: Specifications
The brand says the Blackview BL9000 Pro is “the world's first 5G rugged phone with the highest-resolution FLIR thermal imaging, running Android 14 operating system. The latest FLIR Lepton 3.5 unit provides access to thermal imaging on this device. It promises to offer high resolution thermal capture (160 x 120 pixels). This resolution is higher than its predecessor and will make infrared imaging even sharper. The MyFLIP Pro app is said to be preinstalled on the handset for this special feature.
In terms of other specifications, the Blackview BL9000 Pro model features a tall 6.78-inch display with Gorilla Glass protection, 120Hz refresh rate and FullHD+ resolution. In terms of performance, this Blackview phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimension 8020 processor, coupled with 12GB of physical RAM, up to 24GB of virtual RAM support, and 512GB of in-built storage. The handset runs on Android 14 based DokeOS 4.0 custom skin.
For photography, the Blackview BL9000 Pro features a dual camera setup on the back consisting of a 50-megapixel ISOCELL GN5 primary sensor and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. And there is a 50 megapixel selfie camera in front of the phone For power backup, it packs a massive 8,800mAh battery, which supports 120W wired fast charging.
Blackview BL9000 Pro: Price and Availability
The Blackview BL9000 Pro pre-order process has officially started on AliExpress, which will continue until May 17. The device has been listed with a starting price of $429.99 (roughly Rs. 35,900) for this period. However, its actual price has been set at $800 (about Rs. 66,800). Whether Blackview BL9000 Pro will be available in the Indian market, nothing is known for sure yet.
