I want to share this interesting project for those of my colleagues who complain of small budgets. And for those who boast about using recycled objects and materials in their projects - it is important not only that they use them, but how do they use them. And also, I want to show how important for any interior design project is the concept and its implementation, an the unifying theme in it. Look at the winding copper lighting system:
Bar Brouw is the impressive work of OIEMV done in just 6 weeks!OIEMV "stands for Ontwerpen Is Een Mooi Vak (translation: designing is a great job) and comes with a tagline in Dutch that means ‘so long as you have assignments’ – was tasked with fitting out the interior within an incredibly short timeframe." as FRAME magazine explains.
They built the tables and the bar out of wood from vintage French wagons and used some of the existing interior's features and with just one unifying object they made the restaurant's interior design complete - the hand-made copper tube lighting. Although one may not be charmed by industrial style, it is no doubt a well designed project with very limited budget. Those of you who like this rough look, but prefer a liitle more sophistication - look at some interesting ideas in the Rough Luxe trend that has a lot in common with this look, but not necessarily is limited by similar budget.
