Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Secretary, Member of Parliament Sagara Kariyawasam said that the people who denied the democratic rights of the people by not even allowing them to vote are going before the people again identifying themselves as guardians of democracy. He was speaking at press briefing at the SLPP head office in Battaramulla.
He also said that the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna is not a party that seeks to stay in power by denying the democratic rights of the people of this country. He said that the Rajapaksa family and the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna stood up for the voting rights of the people at all times.
